We don't lose intimacy when we stop talking but when we stop listening especially during prayer.

MALAYSIA
1 Pray for the government to act on the needs of the raykat concerning public transport.
A recent example for such need: Rather than an expensive rail service that will take years to build, the residents of the Greater Cuepacs area want the bus service improved. For the young and the working class, mobility remains a premium. Residents claim that though the residential parks were at equal distance from the national capital and Kajang town, only those with private vehicles benefit from the strategic location.

2 Pray for Pahang Menteri Besar to be humbled and wise to SERVE the rakyat.
The Stop Lynas Coalition (SLC) demanded that Pahang Menteri Besar Adnan Yaakon apologise to the residents of Bukit Merah, Perak, over his remarks. In a press statement released yesterday, the coalition said that Adnan was interviewed by an Austrailian activist, Ryan Albrey, on Sept 7, and reportedly said that the material processed by the Mitsubishi Asia Rare Earth (ARE) Plant, was, despite the company's name, not rare earth. The coalition also expressed regret over Adnan's alleged racist statements in the interview and alleged he was trying to twist the facts. During the interview, Adnan said that he was not excluding the fact that Malaysian Chinese who have links with China, were trying to bring the Lamp project to failure so that China could continue to monopolise the worldwide rare earth market. "This is a serious accusation and SLC hopes that Adnan can provide evidence to back his allegations. Otherwise, As the MB of Pahang, Adnan showed himself not only not sensitive to the prosperity and harmony of society in Malaysia, but also tried to upset the public by unfounded racist assumptions," http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/181239
WORLD
1 Global Day of Prayer for the Poor and Suffering 12/12/2011
“Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.” Psalm 82:3
The ministry of Jesus Christ is undeniably marked with His love and compassion for the poor and suffering. Likewise, the first century church and its leaders such as the Apostle Paul made it a priority to remember the poor. In honor of the life of Jesus Christ and the timeless tradition of genuine Christianity, Convoy of Hope invites you to mark your calendar for 12.12 to remember the world’s poor in prayer.
Pray for Hope 12.12 is an annual global day of prayer for the poor and suffering. It is a day to ask God to raise up workers, full of His love and power, to serve those in poverty. It is a day to petition God for salvation, justice, safety, water, food, shelter, healthcare, education and employment for the world’s needy." 2 Afghanistan and Pakistan
Please pray for these two very strategic and needy nations that are so vital for the security of the rest of the world.
- · There are some key prayer efforts going on within Pakistan this month with teams from outside joining in. Pray for their protection, discernment and empowering and that the local prayer movements in both countries will be strengthened and grow widely.
- · Pray for the unity and vitality of local believers in both countries as well as for the expatriate community, especially in Afghanistan. It is not always a safe place to serve and they need His protection and encouragement.
- · Pray for the governments of both nations to turn from corruption and serve the people with honesty and integrity of purpose. The tribal elders (community leaders) of each locality need to shut out violent men from their midst and welcome development efforts.
- · Pray for the Taliban and Al Qaeda groups to splinter and dissolve and for their members to have encounters with Jesus Christ and His truth through dreams, visions and the bold sharing of the Gospel by locals.
- · Pray for the success of the coalition military forces in protecting and restoring Afghanistan's peace and development as a nation. Source: International Prayer Council www.ipcprayer.org
