To hear from God and to know God, we must have faith in God.
WMCAS
1 Pray for our preachers speaking God's Words from our pulpit: Apostle Paul instructed Timothy his disciple with these words in 2 Timothy 4: 1 -2 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom, I give you this charge: ''Preach God's Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction.'
- Pray that whoever preaches from our pulpit will be fully aware of the great responsibility laid on them and the serious accountability expected from them. They are to preach God's Word, not their own words, not man's ideas. They are to be fully prepared; not unprepared or half-prepared. Not just to correct and rebuke without encouraging; not just to encourage without rebuking and correcting. But to correct, rebuke and encourage. Not with hard and harsh impatience but with great patience. Not with entertaining stories & frivolous trivialities but with careful instruction.
- Pray that whoever teaches from our pulpit will be fully reminded that they are not just preaching to man, but doing it in the very presence Father God and LORD Jesus Christ who will judge him who speaks and all who are being preached to.
- Pray for all who are being preached to and taught God's Word. Pray their hearts will be receptive and their wills be obedient to God's Word. Pray their lives be transformed as they prepare themselves for the imminent return of LORD Jesus Christ.
MALAYSIA
In order for justice and righteousness to be established in our beloved nation, all the respective bodies namely the Judiciary, the MACC, the AG’s Chambers, the Royal Malaysian Police and also the Bar Council need to be independent, without control and with full authority to carry out their respective roles and responsibilities. For greater effectiveness in each of these bodies, they must be held accountable for what they do and do not do. Abuse of power needs to be made known and checked quickly. The setting up of a Royal Commission of Inquiry when abuse of powersare highlighted is a means by which the matter can be addressed as the powers of the Royal Commission are wider than a judge and can be effective provided the scope given is sufficiently wide.
Prayer Points:
- These bodies to be held accountable for any injustice, corruption or power abuse.
- Media to play active role in highlighting and holding these bodies accountable for any abuses or corruption.
- An effective and independent Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate such abuses and corruption.
WORLD
. Pray for believers to be faithful in testifying God's truth and freedom. We pray for our brothers and sisters who face injustice and suffer for the name of Christ, may God's steadfast love hold them up and His consolations cheers their souls.
Pray for Christians living in North Korea that they may worship freely without the threat of persecution.
A day after authorities announced the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, several Christian organizations are calling for prayers for the nation’s persecuted Christians, one of many so-called dissident groups that have suffered under the North Korean regime. While Christianity has experienced immense growth throughout South Korea and other Asian countries, human rights groups estimate that there are 50,000 to 70,000 Christian prisoners in North Korea, which has routinely made the U.S. State Department’s list of “countries of particular concern” when it comes to religious freedom.
